Create free Mainframe ID and z/OS credentials - Free access to TSO and CICS

You want to get your free Mainframe ID and have access to TSO and CICS environment for legit practicing purpose.

Thanks to Efglobe/Fandezhi Mainframe.Its is a virtual Mainframe and running on zOS 1.6 ADCD (Application Developers Controlled Distributions). 

To access Fandezhi Mainframe you must have the following:

1. Create free Mainframe ID and zOS credentials
2. Get a terminal emulator Program
3. Configure Terminal Emulator program and connect to host mainframe

1. Create free Mainframe ID and zOS credentials :

   

    

    Click on "Apply New TSO Userid" 

   Read the rules and conditions of using the host.

   Go bottom of the page and click "apply for a TSO userid "

    

  Now give your desired TSO userid, Full name. Please dont give random names for fun.

  

    

2. Get a terminal emulator Program

   

    Download the Mochasoft x3270 Terminal Emulator. Otherwise you can purchase IBM Personal Communications.Its really the best one. 

3.  Configure Terminal Emulator program and connect to host mainframe.

     Give the Host Name : zos.efglobe.com

     Port Number: 80
